Young Birdkeeper

 

 

If you’re a bird keeper aged under 20 years then we invite you to share your bird keeping experience.


Put pen to paper and share your story in 1500 words or less. 

Your story can cover any avicultural theme—perhaps you’ve discovered some useful information or ways to house, feed, breed or train your birds or simply a story about your favourite bird that you can share with other avicultural enthusiasts.


Requirements for Entry

-          Writer must be aged 20 years or younger

-          Submission must be about birds

-          Submission must be 1500 words or less

-          Submission should be computer generated, preferably in Word format

-          Appropriate photographs or digital images to be provided in high resolution, minimum 3 megapixel

-          A brief description of the author together with a head and shoulders photograph


1st Prize

-          $200 cash

-          Publication of your article in Australian BirdKeeper Magazine and Young BirdKeeper website

-          12-month subscription to Australian BirdKeeper Magazine


Highly Commended

-          12-month subscription to Australian BirdKeeper Magazine

-          Publication of your article on Young BirdKeeper website


Certificate of Merit
